Who is LoneStar TG?
LoneStar TG is a group of transgender individuals, crossdressers, non-binary persons, their friends and supporters. We engage in outreach, fun events and fellowship in and around the DFW Metroplex area.
We have put on such events in the DFW area as:
-Wednesday Night Social at Arthurs/Midway Point/Alexanders/Jakes
-Community Brunch at Italia Express
-Nights out at Sue Ellens and Station 4
-November and December Holiday Dinners
-Halloween Parties (see picture)
-Shopping Trips to Thrift Stores, JC Penney and Sephora
Dallas is a major metropolitan area and has a safe and welcoming GLBT district in the Cedar Springs at Oaklawn Area but also meets in other places in the area.
All are welcome at our events!

Members of Lonestar TG have networked and made inroads nationwide, with some of our members having gone to Heartland TG in Oklahoma City (see left) and Wildside TG in Las Vegas.
In 2018 we put on our first Roundup event with over 20 participants. As with many things, COVID put a damper on our subsequent plans but we are looking forward to engaging in outreach in 2023.
We love reaching out and communicating with those who might have trepidation about going out for their first time or those who are needing friends in the area.
For more, visit our page on this year’s Roundup or check out our meetup, Dallas Feminine Expressions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about who we are and what we do.
What We do!
-We meet and gather together to celebrate our femininity (or masculinity for FTMs)
-We provide resources/referrals for those needing help with gender identity or gender expression – although we are not necessarily a support group (feel free to come by Trina’s on the fourth Thursday in November and also on December 25 for cheese pizza and uno. Also with enough notice, Trina can make it to your name change and gender marker change court date in Dallas County and helped someone move furniture once).
-No Labels – we don’t care how you label yourself or if you don’t. Our montra is that Labels are for clothes, so leave the Labels at that door and come in and have some fun with us. We are interested in who you are and won’t judge you for it.
-The best ways for us to enable change in attitudes in society is for us to get out in society and lead by setting a positive example of who we are inside. No matter how you want to dress, or what you want to wear – it doesn’t matter as long as you treat others with love and respect.
-Gender Expression – We do not distinguish with gender we use primarily the female terms on the site Girls, women, ladies without distinguishing in the name a difference in gender (e.g. we don’t say crossdressers or gurls or tgirls etc.). Likewise are FTMs are men to us. The best way to put it is that we acknowledge the gender being expressed by the individual.
-Open Group – we are open to any gender or gender identity. The only requirement is to treat everyone with respect and dignity.
What we Aren’t
-Membership – we are not collecting members so to speak we are looking for friends and acquaintances that we can enjoy
-A Hookup Site – we are not a hook up group we are looking for friendships. Although if you meet someone go ahead. But if you join this group for that purpose you’ll probably be disappointed. There are other places out there for that.
-Profile Proliferation – we are not a facebook, we are not looking to collect profiles but rather individuals that want to gather with similar interests.
-A DIRECT Support Group: While we do talk about our needs and help each other get through tough times, we are not a direct support group, nor are we licensed therapists. We encourage you to reach out and foster those relationships and get that support.
